Local Law 11/FISP Repair

Also known as Local Law 11, The Façade Inspection Safety Program is comprised of a set of regulations that address the condition of the exterior walls and appurtenances of the buildings in New York City. Adopted by the City Council and summarized in a rule promoted by the New York City Department of Buildings, or DOB, it’s made up of a section of the NYC Administrative Code. At the crux of the law is the requirement that all facades of buildings in the city that are more than six stories high, be examined by a qualified professional and a report filed with the DOB, every five years.

When tasked to carry out an inspection or repairs to a building that have been highlighted in a report filed with the DOB, our team of experts at RZ Construction Group commence with a hands-on, non-destructive inspection to help us determine the condition of all exterior walls as they currently stand, and pinpoint any potential safety hazards. Once we’ve carried out a detailed and thorough inspection, our experts file a written report with the DOB outlining strategies for repairing any existing damage.
